A
uthor and Speaker Nora White works with one of the most recognized Contemporary Christian Music Radio Stations in the U.S. She is also trained as a Biblical Counselor and works with women who suffer with depression, anxiety, Bi Polar, ADHD, Fibromyalgia and many other emotional problems through a ministry she founded called Healing Hearts. She has been actively counseling and mentoring women since 2003 after completing her training at the Biblical Institute in Garrettsville, Ohio. Nora also works with women through her church in a ministry called Side by Side, teaching along with founders Darla Warner and Bonnie Scott. Side by Side is designed to teach older women how to come along side younger women and show them, by example, how to be godly women (based on the Titus 2 women in the Bible).

Having been in a bad relationship when she was younger, Nora found her self being led in a new direction. With a heart to help others, what better way then through her own hardships. When she speaks to women, she compassionately takes them on a journey through her life when it was surrounded by catastrophic devastation. In her late twenties, her father committed suicide; she had a car accident resulting in facial reconstructive surgery; went through physical and mental abuse as well as a divorce; and numerous other problems all within a few years. She also had two small children to care for and worked numerous jobs just to make ends meet.
When women come to her, there is very little she hasn’t experienced in her life including physical health problems that at one time had her practically bedridden. Nora is full of compassion with a heart that truly belongs to the Lord. She not only works full-time but counsels women several nights a week. From fall through spring, Nora teaches Bible studies at her church with topics on marriage, relationships, forgiveness, learning to trust God, and living through hardship.
Nora doesn’t charge for counseling. She says when she needed help she didn’t have anyone to turn to, nor could she afford to get help. She believes this is her way to give back.
“I feel that through my pain God has opened the doors to understand Biblically ways that God promises to take care of us and provide. Sometimes He uses others. I love helping women and it is so rewarding to see how the word of God changes people’s thinking and gives them hope in situations that seem impossible to change. I am in awe every time one of my girls “gets it”; I mean starts to see the Hand of God in the middle of their storm. It is such a blessing and an honor to be given the opportunity to help women the way the Lord has allowed me to help them.”
Nora thinks nothing of buying a Bible for someone who doesn’t have one or offering help in any way she can. She has realized that donations would help to cover the expense that she incurs on a regular basis. She believes her books and speaking engagements will some day allow her to work for the Lord full time, counseling and teaching women how to see God at work in their lives.
